Our History

Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited (MMS), a member of the Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited Group of Companies, stands as a testament to the visionary leadership of its founder, M. Audrey Sewart-Hinchcliffe, who currently serves as the Chairman of the MMS Group. The company has its genesis in Caribbean Health Management Consultants Limited (CHMC) founded by Mrs. Hinchcliffe in 1987, which marked her first venture into entrepreneurship.

Caribbean Health Management Consultants focused primarily on health services and garnered widespread acclaim. However, it soon became clear that there was a demand for supplementary services, specifically in cleaning and portering, within the healthcare industry and MMS was founded to respond to these demands.

Established as a Limited Liability Company in May 1990, MMS, now the flagship of the MMS Group, was established with a singular focus on delivering first class janitorial, building, and grounds maintenance services to healthcare institutions. Our journey began with a noteworthy performance at the prestigious Tony Thwaites Wing of the University Hospital of the West Indies, signaling our commitment to excellence.

Building on this early success, MMS rapidly garnered recognition, extending its services beyond healthcare to encompass a diverse clientele, including telecommunication entities, financial institutions, embassies, offices, hotels, sport facilities, airports, entertainment venues, wharves, shopping malls, factories, BPOs and other commercial enterprises. Our proven track record of performance continues to be a magnet for organizations seeking unparalleled service quality.

Today, MMS has evolved into a comprehensive provider of a suite of services island-wide, which includes janitorial services, grounds maintenance and landscaping, integrated pest management, carpet cleaning, disaster recovery solutions and the innovative Power Home suite of services.

The company now boasts a cadre of over 1400 full-time and part-time employees, servicing over 180 international, regional and local clients in a variety of businesses enterprises at 220 locations island-wide.
