Corporate Social Responsibility

Manpower & Maintenance Services Foundation

The MMS Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Manpower and Maintenance Services Ltd. Established in 2003, the Foundation is the embodiment of the organization’s commitment to develop an empowered Jamaican workforce that will spur national development. It partners with private and public sector entities to develop and implement projects that focus on education and sports.

Manpower & Maintenance Services Foundation (MMSF) is a non-profit organization established in 2003 to promote effective corporate social responsibility through community outreach initiatives, with a key focus on health, education and sports. The foundation’s broader mission is to foster a sense of community and continued contribution to national development.

Its inception is marked by the first staging of its flagship programme, the annual Back-to-School Awards, which provides financial and other assistance to the children of staff members of Manpower and Maintenance Services Limited.

In alignment with its focus on health and education, one of MMSF’s initiatives includes its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This included the donation of supplies to health institutions and the provision of tablets and other equipment to schools. This support continues to leave a lasting impact on students who transitioned to virtual classrooms during the pandemic.

While many of our initiatives are stand-only ventures, we also collaborate with both private and public sector entities for extended reach in the development of other initiatives that contribute to the aforementioned social causes. Some of these initiatives include sponsorship of events like the Spelling Bee Championship and Wesley Powell Meet for students. In alignment with its focus on sports, other events include the annual Girls and Boys Championships, sponsorship of prep-school football competitions, providing gear for team sports and organizing golf tournaments to raise funds for children’s homes. These efforts in sports also align with the foundation’s broader mission of fostering a sense of community and contributing to national development.

MMSF remains committed to our mission of promoting corporate social responsibility and making a positive difference in the realms of health, education, and sports, building a brighter future for communities, one initiative at a time.
