Audrey Stewart

M. Audrey Hinchcliffe is founder and Chairman of Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited Group of Companies comprising MMS Limited, Institute for Workforce Education & Development Ltd. (IWED), Manpower & Maintenance Business Services Limited (MMBS), and Manpower & Maintenance Services Foundation. She also Chairs the M’Power Women’s Group, which she founded to uplift women through work and education. She is also the Founder and Principal of Caribbean Health Management Consultants Ltd. (CHMC), her first business venture.

In 2011, Mrs. Hinchcliffe was invited by US Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, to serve on the US Department of State’s International Council on Women’s Business Leadership (ICWBL) and was re-appointed August 2014, until the exit of Secretary Clinton from the post.

In November 2014 she was awarded the Caribbean Woman Investor of the Year. She is also the Ernst & Young Caribbean Entrepreneur of the Year for Services (2003).

National Honours

Mrs. Hinchcliffe was on March 29, 2006, conferred with the National Honour the Order of Distinction, Commander Class (CD) in recognition of Entrepreneurial Enterprise and Leadership in Employer/Employee Relation. She was commissioned as a Justice of the Peace (JP) in December 2012.

  • Chairman of Jamaica Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL) an agency of the Ministry of Education.

  • Chairman of the Jamaica Business Council on HIV/AIDS (JaBCHA).
  • Chairman of the Nursing Council of Jamaica (11 years).

Honours, Awards and Commendations:

  • October 7, 2022 – 2022 Live2Lead Leadership Award Winner.
  • November 2021, the Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP) Frank Spaulding Award for Women in Business.
  • The Global Services Association of Jamaica (GSAJ) Industry “Excellence in Service Awards” 2020. This is in recognition of service to the industry and new initiatives in response to Covid-19.
  • Rotary Club of New Kingston’s Gary Grant Vocational Service Award (2014).
  • Business Leader – Female Award 2011, and Business Leader of the Year 2005, Florida International University (FIU)
  • JIM/Gleaner Manager of the Year 2008.Also inducted as a Fellow of the Jamaican Institute of Management.

Employment History

Prior to the start of her entrepreneurial endeavors, Mrs. Hinchcliffe boasts an illustrious career in healthcare and education spanning the post of Registered Nurse in Hospitals and Occupation Health in Jamaica, through the ranks of nursing specializations, to Nursing Administration, Hospital Administration and Educator from New York to Florida, USA. From a successful health-care profession in the USA, she was recruited by the Caribbean Community Secretariat (CARICOM) in Guyana (1982), where she served for over six (6) years as the first Health Development Officer for the then seventeen (17) member states of CARICOM before returning to Jamaica to begin her foray into business (1988).

Education

She holds a Master of Science Degree in Health Administration from Long Island University, New York; a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Community Health from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York, and a Certificate in Health Economics from the University of York in the United Kingdom. She is a registered nurse trained at the University Hospital of the West Indies, School of Nursing, and a graduate of Excelsior High School.

Publications

A columnist for the Daily Gleaner and other publications, Mrs. Hinchcliffe is also the author of her recently published books, A Time Like No Other, The Covid-19 Pandemic (2023); Chapters of Your Life, Wise Words for Women on a Life-Changing Journey (2021); The Will to Overcome Reflections on Circumstance, Vision, Service (2020), and Taking Care, A Manual for Medical Office Administrators (1988).

Mrs. Hinchcliffe is the mother of two (2) children – Garth, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Manpower & Maintenance Services Limited and Dr. Annette Hinchcliffe-Moseley, MD., a pediatrician and a former Partner, Georgetown Pediatric Group, Atlanta, Georgia.

Don A. Gittens

Don A. Gittens is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Manpower and Maintenance Services Limited Group comprising Manpower and Maintenance Services Limited (MMS), Manpower & Maintenance Business Services Limited (MMBS); Manpower and Maintenance Sales and Distribution Limited; Institute for Workforce Education & Development (IWED); Manpower & Maintenance Services Foundation and the M’Power Women’s Group.

Mr. Gittens is a seasoned Management Professional who has represented Jamaica at the highest level internationally.  He possesses a wealth of knowledge with over twenty (20) years’ experience in Business Development, Strategic Planning, International Investment & Trade Negotiations, Policy Development, Strategic Marketing, Client Relationship Management, Consultative and Technology Sales and Project Management.

Among his experience is Manager, Logistics, Energy, Infrastructure and Emerging Sectors (2016-2023) and Consultant Business Development/Senior Consultant Knowledge Services/Acting Manager, Special Projects (2005-2011) at Jamaica Promotions Corporation; Regional Enterprise Account Manager/BPO Executive Manager at Cable and Wireless Jamaica (LIME/C&W Business) (2011-2016); Information Systems Manager at Clicho Holdings (Barbados) Limited (2004-2005).

He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the Mona School of Business (2009); a Master of Science Degree in Telecommunications  from State University of New York: Institute of Technology (2002-2004) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Management from the University of the West Indies (1999-2001).  He is a trained Project Manager and a Certified Mediator.

Mr. Gittens’ greatest strength is motivating teams and he possesses excellent communication, negotiating and networking skills.  He served as Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Kingston, Jamaica (2014/2015) and Lieutenant Governor, Kiwanis International, Division 23 East (2020/2021).

Ahijah Brown

Mr. Ahijah Brown has over twenty (20) years of professional experience in the areas of General Management, Compliance and Accounting. 

He has demonstrated excellence in managing in a competitive environment; high levels of interaction with service providers for efficiency and exceptionally high levels of customer service to attract and retain customers.

Among Mr. Brown’s experience is General Manager, Priority Meats and More (2012 – 2015); Loan Administration Officer and Compliance Inspector at the National Housing Trust (2006 – 2011).  Mr. Brown also taught at the Caribbean School of Business between 2003 and 2006.  

Mr. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from University of the West Indies, Mona (2005).   He has held several senior management positions at Manpower and Maintenance Services Limited since his engagement in 2015 and currently serves as Director of Facilities Management Services since February 2021.  

Monica Young

Monica Young is a highly motivated, versatile and focused professional who recognizes that high productivity and excellent results are only achieved through a well-trained, knowledgeable and motivated team.  She has built a broad portfolio of transferable business and interpersonal skills through a series of challenging and varied assignments in both public and private sectors.  

With over twenty (20) years’ experience  as a strategic human resources practitioner, she is tasked with aligning the organization’s human resources to  achieve the strategic objectives.  She also has responsibility for the creation and enforcement of sound human resources policies and procedures. 

She holds a M.Sc. Degree in International Public and Development Management and a B.Sc. Degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies, Mona.

She currently serves as Senior Director, Human Resources Management at Manpower and Maintenance Services Limited Group since April 2018.

Michael Duncan

Mr. Michael Duncan is an audit professional with over 20 years’ experience in auditing and accounting.   He is a meticulous evaluator of accounting systems and control processes to ensure financial statements are accurately and actual financial viability of a business operations is presented.

Mr. Duncan has held several Accounting and Auditing positions at the senior level in private and public sector entities both locally and regionally.  He holds Diplomas in Internal Auditing, Risk and Quality Management and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.  He is also an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and a candidate for Master of Science in Project Management.

Mr. Duncan joined the Manpower Group in 2019 as an Internal Auditor and currently serves as Director of Operations since May 1, 2020.

Mitchell Watson

Mr. Mitchell Watson has over 25 years’ experience as an accomplished management professional with extensive retail marketing and sales experience, encompassing strategic planning and management, qualitative & quantitative research knowledge, creative development, public relations, sales promotion, and digital/social/mobile strategy.

He is a skilled brand equity builder who has lead teams of professionals focused on channel strategies and an effective communicator who is a strong team builder and mentor.

Among Mr. Watson’s experience is Marketing and Communications Manager, Pepsi Cola Bottling Company (2013 – 2018); Group Public Relations, Marketing, Events and Sponsorship Manager, ATL Group of Companies/Sandals Resorts International (2010-2012); Country and Field Marketing Manager for Jamaica and the Caribbean, Red Bull GMBCH/Caribbean Producers Group (2003-2008); Territory Manager and Regional Events Coordinator, Red Stripe (1995-2002).

Mr. Watson holds Diplomas in Digital Marketing & Communications and Marketing and Sales Development; Certificates in Management Training (Focus in PDCA/6 Sigma White Belt); Procurement & Planning and Sales & Marketing and is a candidate for Master of Business Administration

He currently serves as General Manager – Marketing, Sales & Distribution since November 2022.

Steve Robinson

Mr. Steve Robinson has over thirty (30) years of professional experience in analyzing financial statements, external and internal auditing, accounting, taxation, lecturing, financial management & control and business consulting.

Among Mr. Robinson’s experience is Head, Corporate Services at the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority (2018 – 2022); Acting Director General (2013 – 2017) & Chief Accountant (2011-2013) at the Coffee Industry Board; Tax Manager/Associate Partner at Boldeck Jamaica Chartered Accountants (2009 – 2010) and Senior Accountant at Ashtrom Building Systems Limited (1996 – 2006).  Mr. Robinson also lectured at the Students’ Accountancy Training Consortium between 2008 and 2015. 

Mr. Robinson is a Chartered Accountant and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom (FCCA); Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (FCA) and a Registered Public Accountant & Member of the Public Accountancy Board of Jamaica (RPA).  He is the President of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew (BSA), St. Luke Church and former member of the Kinston College Chapel Choir & Basketball team.

Mr. Robinson is an excellent team player  who believes far more can be accomplished out of a team rather than an individual and as such he utilizes initiative to achieve company objectives. 

He currently serves as Chief Accountant at Manpower and Maintenance Services Limited Group since December 2022.
