M'Power Women's Group
M’Power Women’s Group Limited, whose primary objective is to assist women to address issues that affect them at the workplace and motivate them to improve their education and upgrade their skills while on the job, either through the Institute for Workforce Education & Development (IWED) or other educational institutions. A scholarship fund has also been launched to benefit MMS female employees who wish to study at the tertiary level.
In commemoration of its mission, the group organizes an annual event on International Women’s Day to celebrate the female staff of the MMS Group. The occasion features entertainment, refreshments, the presentation of gifts from sponsors and a distinguished speaker addressing women’s issues in alignment with the Women’s Day theme. This exclusive event is cherished and takes place at the company’s headquarters.
A significant initiative under the group’s umbrella is its scholarship fund. The fund was designed to provide financial support to the daughters of MMS Group staff members and female staff members, pursuing tertiary-level education and presented annually to those who have fit the criteria for receiving same.
As we stand united under the banner of M’Power Women’s Group, we continue to honour the legacy of the Chairman, embracing the vision of a workplace where challenges faced by women are met with proactive solutions and where continuous learning propels us toward empowerment. Excelsior High School athletes (L-R) Ziasia Oaklay and Sharlla Whittaker, received a sponsorship cheque in the amount of $75,000.00 from the M’Power Women’s Group.
